EVENT RULES

  1. Absolutely no going off-trail. You must always remain on the main trail that is flagged as part of the course. Cutting corners causes damage to these areas of the trails and racers caught doing so will be disqualified.

  2. Friends help friends, and we are all friends out there. If someone falls or is hurt and you stop to make sure they are safe, we will provide a good friend reward. If you sacrifice your race to stay with an injured racer, we will offer you free entry to one of our other races during this or next season. Please let our team know immediately on race day if this happens in order to ensure your free entry!

  3. No crew on the course, please allow them to wait patiently at the finish. Having a crew on the trail is grounds for disqualification

  4. Please leave absolutely nothing on the trails, and pick up any garbage you see. Racers seen discarding anything will be disqualified.

  5. Runners must check in with each aid station along the course. Please state your bib number as you approach an aid station and ensure you hear it repeated back to you.

  6. You may listen to music during the running races, but please keep your volume low and only use one earbud. This is to ensure your safety and the safety of other racers. You must be able to hear other racers as well as be aware of possible wildlife on the course.

  7. If you decide to end your race early, you must notify the race management team, either through an aid station leader, or the race HQ at the finish line. Please do not head home and leave the course without doing so. If we do not know you have left the race, we are forced to call out our search and rescue team to look for you until we can ensure that the racer in question is safe and sound.

  8. Be kind to volunteers! Our volunteers have generously offered their time and energy to make your race day epic!! Treat them with the utmost respect and please say a quick thank you when you pass by them. Any racer who is disrespectful to a volunteer will be disqualified from the event and from future races. If you have any issues, please bring them up with the management team who will be happy to work with you to reach a resolution.

  9. Respect your fellow racers, other trail users, and event staff! We already mentioned the volunteers, but everyone participating in our events and encountered along the way deserves to be treated respectfully. The trails are not closed to the public during our events, so please be patient if you come across other trail users. We are all there to have a great time, so play your part and be kind!!

  10. Our races are chip timed and must not be folded! The bibs must be visible on the front of the racer’s body or handlebars of their bike. If your bib is damaged in any way, you may not receive an accurate time representation.

  11. No stashing supplies along the trail. Please carry all extra nutrition on your person, or enjoy the provisions at our aid stations.

  12. As is stated in registration for each race, as policies that you’ve already signed off on, bibs are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be deferred to the same race one year later. Please refer to the specific policies on our website to see which events you can defer to if you cannot make your specific race start.
