COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

8 KM | 327 M ELEVATION

This 8-kilometer course is the perfect route to test out the Bear Mountain trails! This course will start from the main parking lot and offer a gentle warm-up around the side of the lake before sending you on your main climb for the day! You will climb for just over 4 kilometers before you hit your first aid station and get to see some lovely mountain views. We hit the Forest Service Road here for a bit before ducking into the trails and beginning our descent through the mossy forest. We cover some more ground on the FSR until we hit your second aid station and happy cheering station. Here, with just over 2 kilometers of smooth winding downhill trails, you will return to where you started at the main parking lot for all of the finish line celebrations! Expect two aid stations along the course.

12 KM | 521 M ELEVATION

This 12-kilometer is the perfect course for those who want to see a little more of the gorgeous Bear Mountain trails and challenge themselves beyond the 8-kilometer distance. This course offers a gradual 4 km climb to start the day and get you warm, leading to a viewpoint you won't want to miss! Here, you will also come across your first aid station.

From here, you will be on a winding single track connecting various trails that showcase the amazing variety of terrain on this mountain. You will run through mossy forests, smooth and flowy trails, technical and mixed descents, and (of course) a little more elevation before you reach the final descent. Expect your second aid station at the top of your final climb to guide you into the downhill cruise to the finish. The final 2 km will tour you down one of the most fun and rolling downhills of the day and bring you right to the finish line!

You can expect two aid stations along the way at roughly 4 kilometers and 10 kilometers where you can refuel.

21 KM | 1,061 M ELEVATION

Starting from the main parking lot, this course will take you up a gradual climb for the first 4 kilometers. Here at 4 km, you will reach the first aid station. Once you are warmed up, you will cover some fun descents and rolling trails leading up to a beautiful lookout of the surrounding mountain ranges. You will then head up a steeper climb and be rewarded with a beautiful lookout at the surrounding mountain ranges. From here, you are hitting some flowy downhill and smooth trails until the next climb. You'll have a chance to run on some gravel FSR roads for a little relief from the climbs and experience a true mix of literally all-terrain styles and trails in this race. Steep single-track descents, runnable climbs mixed with steep climbs, multiple areas with beautiful views from the FSR, and some fun features along the way!
